homework:
Students are expected to read every evening in both French and English. They can either borrow a classroom book or read a book from home.
Class Dojo Challenge:
This challenge is intended to encourage students to play more and "game/TV/computer" less. Get outside and play! Get together and visit! Sit and chat! Have face to face conversations! Be bored! Be creative! Use your imagination!
Dear ________________________________,
In Madame Wowchuk’s class, we have decided to challenge ourselves to live more like the First Peoples of Canada did. This means, living more within nature and spending quality time with friends and family and LESS to NO electronics 😊 I will try to be more present in my everyday life and mindful of how I spend my time.
We have decided to use our class DOJO to keep tally of our points. As a classroom family, we will be working towards free time outside, time to create games, outings and picnics outside or in special places in the school.
Please help me earn points by encouraging me to be more active, spend time with nature, spend time with my family and friends, quality time with mom/dad, family outings (not including movies), time playing with your pets or neighbors pets, reading, writing, drawing and painting etc. Some of the following are not necessarily “First Peoples” activities, but we feel that they are ways to enjoy our time and time with others, without tablets, TV, phones etc. Registered league sporting activities and practices are not included in the point system.
Some quality time activities are:
